Whale Watching in Hermanus

A day filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters and stunning scenery

Hermanus is a charming coastal town located just a short drive from our guesthouse, known as one of the best places in the world for whale watching. Each year, from June to November, southern right whales migrate to the sheltered waters off Hermanus coastline to calve and nurse their young.

Boat tours are available, giving you a chance to get even closer to the whales and other marine life in the area.

Whether you are a seasoned whale watcher or it´s your first time, Hermanus provides an unforgettable experience, making it a must visit destination for nature lovers.

On your way to Hermanus, don’t miss a stop at Betty´s Bay, where you can visit a large colony of African penguins at Stony Point Nature Reserve. It´s one of the best places to see these charming birds up close in the natural habitat and a fantastic addition to your coastal adventure.
